英语句子摘录(一)

前言¶

注: 摘录的是一些句子，来自《Basic Readers》第3册，觉得可以借鉴使用，作为常用场景的表达方式。

And the drones(雄蜂), who are the lazy bees, do almost nothing but eat and sleep.

If too many bees leave at this time, there are not enough left to do the work in the old hive.

Speak up in a hurry, or I'll hit you.

There was once a poor man who had nothing in the world but three sons and a fine pear tree, which grew in front of his house.

As the time went by, ....

If it brings good luck, you will be a lucky boy.

All day they took turns guessing, until it was time to feed the chickens for the night.

All this sounds almost like a faily story, but every bit of it is really true.

I can sleep late and play all day long.

It was a holiday, and Jack had planned to do nothing all day long but sleep and eat and play.

That's because he is dressed from head to foot in warm reindeer fur(驯鹿皮毛).

So he stood still and listened.

A reindeer likes salt better than a child likes candy.

David ended his song, and for a while the room was very still.

You are all such cowards(胆小鬼) that you are afraid of fight!

That is easy to say, but who dares fight such a giant?

Never mind, when I grow up, I will be knight(骑士) and you may ride my horse.

I want to go out and help someone who is in trouble.

There is much trouble in the world, and the strong, brave men are needed to fight for those who can not fight for themselves.

Early one morning they set out.

All his lifetime Tim helped people who were in trouble.

Still I shall never give up hope.

But here I must stay at home.

I'll hide him back in the woods.

Then he ran back to the house as fast as his legs could carry him.

That is worth more to me than many badges(徽章).
